Arthur Thomas Jr., age 80, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on November 4, 1945, in Miami, Florida, to Arthur Thomas Sr. and Flora Thomas, Arthur lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and an unwavering love for his family and friends.

Arthur attended Holmes Elementary School and graduated from Miami Northwestern High School. Following graduation, he dedicated himself to serving his community as a public service worker, a role that reflected his strong work ethic, commitment to helping others, and pride in making a difference.

A beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Arthur was known for his bright spirit, compassionate heart, and ability to bring joy to those around him. Through his passions, dedication, and simple acts of kindness, he touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Arthur was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Arthur Thomas Sr. and Flora Thomas, and his brother, Ulyssee Thomas.

Arthur is survived by his children, Yolanda Thomas-Watts (Joseph) and Rosie Palmer (Dennis); his grandchildren, Nathaniel Sr. (Tara), Jamila, Jimmy, Jenzell, and Rosaline; six great-grandchildren; his siblings, Barbara, Letha, Joseph, Stanley, Carol, Arelia, and Robin (Larry); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will continue to honor his memory with love and gratitude.

Though he will be deeply missed, Arthur’s legacy of love, service, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
